LYGIA Metal Viewer
A native viewer for the Metal port of LYGIA
LYGIA is Patricio Gonzalez Vivo's granular shader library: noise, signed distance fields, color, tiling, lighting, one small function per file. It ships in several shading languages, Metal among them. To be able to try some metal adjustments and submit a PR fix, I needed a playground where to check them, and as it usually with shader-related tasks, it demonstrated being way more engaging than intended
- 40 live demos: noise, SDFs, tiling, color, distortion, lighting, and geometric ornaments, each with its controls and its source.
- Playground (macOS): write Metal with
#include "lygia/..."and watch it render as you type. - Immersive (visionOS): a ray-marched LYGIA scene, drawn by the app's own Metal renderer through Compositor Services.
